BBC Top Gear’s The Stig will get behind the wheel at the Beaulieu Supercar Weekend in August, as the historic site welcomes scores of supercharged cars – including 25 Ferraris from the famous Italian manufacturer’s classic line-up through the years.
The mysterious driver, known by millions for his motoring antics on the small screen, will be wowing visitors with his driving skills as one of the highlights at the packed two-day show, on the 5 and 6 of August.
Taking to Beaulieu’s Chestnut Avenue in a prototype Ford Mustang Dark Horse, The Stig will join a host of other drivers putting supercharged machines through their paces with demonstration runs, while the character – famous for never taking his helmet off in public – will also be meeting fans over the weekend.
Among other treats for motor fans at one of the biggest Supercar events on the South Coast will be the sights and sounds of top-powered vehicles, ranging from Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Maseratis and McLarens, to Porsches, TVRs, Lotuses and Aston Martins.
New for 2023, and for the first time ever, the private lawns of Palace House will also be opened to event visitors, as they play host to a special display showcasing a selection of hypercars.
For lovers of Ferraris, Beaulieu will also become home to 25 of one of the world’s most famous and glamourous vehicle brands, with cars throughout the Italian marque’s illustrious history on show in front of the historic House. Among the line-up will be such iconic models as the LaFerrari, F50, F40, 599 GTO, 250 GTE and Daytona Spider, as well as a stunning P4 replica.
Bringing more motor mania to the event, a supercar sound-off will involve drivers showing off the sounds of their powerful engines on Beaulieu’s events arena, with the car getting the loudest cheer from spectators receiving a celebratory trophy.
And for those inspired by seeing The Stig, there is also more of the TV show inspired fun on offer at the World of Top Gear, included in the show ticket along with all the other features of the Beaulieu attraction.
Tickets – which include entry to all the Beaulieu attractions – cost from £24 for adults, and £13 children (5–16 years) for one day, or £36 and £19.50 for both days, when booked in advance. Family tickets cost from £61.
