It’s full steam ahead for a new rail promotion that offers discounted tickets to Hull as part of a campaign to encourage more day trippers and holiday makers to visit the city.
As summer approaches, Hull Trains has launched the Hull Leisure Return discount ticket to offer passengers a chance to not only save money, but also travel in a more environmentally friendly way.
The Hull Leisure Return ticket covers return travel to Hull and back from Doncaster, Selby, Howden or Brough for a discounted fare of £10 or less – and the deal is available on any Hull Trains service, weekdays and weekends.
Visitors can make a day of it and arrive in Hull before 10am on weekdays and Saturdays, then head home in the evening, or turn the trip into a city break by staying overnight, with passengers having up to 28 days to use the return Hull Leisure Return ticket.
And as part of the campaign, there is also a discounted stay at the city’s Doubletree by Hilton – a short walk from Hull Paragon station – with 15% off the best available rate and free room upgrade, along with 15% off a first drink in the hotel’s Lexington or Lounge Bar (full details on the Hull Trains website).
Hull Leisure Returns are available to book on the Hull Trains website and app, and at station ticket offices. The ticket can only be used on Hull Trains services.
