Lincoln Castle on song for summer of music

Lincoln’s dramatic Norman castle is set to host a summer of music in 2025.

Built almost 1000 years ago by William the Conqueror, Lincoln Castle has witnessed some of the most dramatic events in English history and is now set to be the backdrop to a series of outdoor concerts in June 2025.

Among the top acts rocking the medieval walls will be 17-time Grammy Award winner Sting, who will perform as part of his world tour, while Scottish rock icons Texas and Simple Minds will also headline at Live at Lincoln Castle 2025.

Joining them will be chart-topper Rag’n’Bone Man, British reggae band UB40 featuring Ali Campbell, and punk pioneers The Stranglers and Buzzcocks.

Part of an ongoing partnership with Lincolnshire County Council and Live Nation promoters Cuffe and Taylor, the line-up will also feature pop favourite Olly Murs.

Following on from the first ever summer show series in the city’s iconic castle during summer 2024, which attracted almost 30,000 people, the 2025 event launches on 13 June with a night of punk featuring The Stranglers and Buzzcocks.

With the Castle’s great stone curtain wall and imposing Victorian prison forming the stage backdrop, Sting will perform on 24 June and Simple Minds on 28 June.

Tickets are priced for individual concerts, starting at £53.20.
