A coastal seasonal treat will bring an early festive celebration to East Yorkshire in November as the popular Bridlington Ice Trail returns for 2025.
After last year’s inaugural trail proved a big hit with visitors and locals alike, the festive event will be staged again over the weekend of 15 and 16 November, turning the resort into one of the country’s coolest seaside destinations.
The free trail will see a series of ice sculptures take shape throughout the town, many depicting maritime scenes reflecting Bridlington’s coastal heritage.
Taking visitors on a festive journey, there will be live ice carving on both days, where blocks of ice are transformed into glistening coastal seasonal masterpieces.
Fire and ice shows will also take place twice a day on both days featuring ice sculpting using chainsaws and power tools, synchronised with a pyrotechnic display set to music.
Set to be one of the highlights of East Yorkshire’s Christmas events season, the trail coincides with a weekend of seasonal entertainment in the seaside resort.
The Bridlington Christmas Food Festival will be taking place on King Street throughout the weekend, while families will also be able to make the most of Santa’s Grotto, meeting Santa on his sleigh.
The trail is funded through the UK Government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund and local businesses through the sponsorship of sculptures.
