Ancient Egypt Season

Featuring two free exhibitions, the season explores the beauty and mystery of ancient Egypt celebrating two of the greatest Egyptian discoveries of the last 200 years. The decoding of the Rosetta Stone in 1822, and then 100 years later, the discovery of the almost undisturbed tomb of Tutankhamun.

Bridlington Old Town is a hidden gem, offering a step back in time with cobbled streets, charming architecture, and historic landmarks. The Old Town will be filled with music of the 40s, military vehicles on display, fairground rides for children, trade and food stalls, plus an opening parade at 10am.

The UK’s longest continually running festival of outdoor arts, founded in 1974, the Hat Fair is inspired by the people, heritage and public spaces within the city of Winchester. It takes its name from the tradition of the audience showing their appreciation by putting money in the hat at the end of the show.
