Wizarding welcome for a Stoke store that’s potty about Potter

Launched in the midst of a lockdown, a ‘magical’ Stoke-on-Trent shop dedicated to the world of Harry Potter has been given a warm welcome from one of the movie’s actors.

‘Potteries Potions’, which specialises in officially licensed Harry Potter merchandise and promises a spellbinding experience, has been sent a video message of support from actor Tom Felton, who starred as Draco Malfoy in the eight-movie franchise.

Located in the heart of the Potteries and set over two floors, the store, which sells everything from books and collectibles, apparel and accessories, to toys and games along with sweet treats, opened at The Strand, Longton, in October after an online site was launched in lockdown earlier in the year.

Everyone who works at Potteries Potions is a member of the family-owned business, or a friend, and all are avid Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts fans whose aim is to transport shoppers to an “enchanted place full of wonder and charm”.

Now the Potteries store has been sent a video thanking staff and customers for their support from actor Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy, a member of Hogwarts Slytherin House, and Harry’s foe throughout the franchise.

Wishing the new venture success, he thanks staff and even sings a little ‘jingle’ for Potteries Potions while playing guitar.
