Summer Saturday nights are set to sizzle like never before at award-winning Trentham Gardens, thanks to its biggest-ever concert line-up aimed at celebrating the 15thanniversary of the historic estate re-opening to the public.
A new stage, offering a better view for bigger crowds, means that the hot summer Saturdays will see 15 evening concerts to mark 15 years – with crowds set to dance the night away to everything from tributes to Abba and Queen, and ‘80s Mania’ to ‘Absolute Noughties’.
But you will need to stay tuned and be even quicker to the beat this year in the rush for tickets – which go on sale from 1stApril 2019 at 1pm. Last year, more than 27,000 people enjoyed the family friendly lakeside concerts, which sold out in record time.
Now, thanks to The Trentham Estate’s investment in a new stage, more people than ever before will be able to enjoy concerts, with up to 3,000 tickets available for each event – and triple the number of tickets for the most popular nights, 80s Mania and Totally 90s, based on previous years. The additional three dates, meanwhile, have increased the overall capacity still further.
Taking the number of concerts to 15 also hits the right note as Trentham celebrates its remarkable success story.
Owned for over 400 years by the Dukes of Sutherland, the 725-acre estate had fallen into a state of despair at the end of the last century when the UK’s leading regeneration specialist, St. Modwen, stepped-in to breathe new life into the gardens, which re-opened to the public on May 29, 2004.
Fifteen years on, it has matured to become one of England’s most visited paid-for garden attractions, and has won awardsfor horticultural excellence, and its visitor welcome. An expanding year-round event calendar has also proved popular, with the annual summer concerts – which started in 2010 – among the most successful.
For 2019, the concerts return every Saturday night, from 8 June to 14 September, with tribute bands performing in a magical lakeside setting, featuring everything from smash hits from the Musicals to Club Classics and Soul Legends.
Trentham will‘Rule The World’ as partygoers get the chance to relight their fire on Saturday 8 Junewhen a Take That Tributelaunches the season, while the lakeside will echo to sounds of the West End, Broadway and Hollywood on 15 June for A Night at the Musicals.
