Siblings celebrate shared success in Rural Awards
Two Yorkshire Wolds businesses are celebrating after winning prestigious rural awards. Wold Newton based Wold Top Brewery () and sister company, Spirit of Yorkshire () from Hunmanby, won the Sustainability/Environment Award and the Food and Drink Producer of the Year award respectively at the recent Yorkshire Post Rural Awards.
HoHoHo – HoH opens in time for Christmas
Hammonds of Hull has opened “a place to meet, shop, dine and discover, all under one roof” in the city centre. The HoH Foodhall is a new concept and brings with it a vibrant collection of dining options, organic grocery outlets, retail areas, and plenty of food, music and art. The 30,000 square foot industrial space features over 12 differing food and beverage locations such as the Vinyl Lounge, the Tin Man Bar, and 1821 Cocktail and Coffee bar.

New restaurant for Hull Marina
Bert’s Pizza & Gelato is the latest restaurant within the Humber Docks Marina, in Hull. The third restaurant in Bert’s stable, this one is in an eye-catching building, in a thriving area of the city, and serves pizzas cooked in wood-fired oven, salads, sides, and authentic Italian gelato, freshly prepared on the premises each day using locally sourced ingredients, or those imported directly from Italy. Bert’s also offers a bespoke Pizza Home Kits service.
Crowning glory in Hampshire
The Crown Inn, in the picturesque Test Valley, has been refurbished inside and out, giving it a modern restaurant feel but retaining its original country cottage pub features, while outside heated wooden H’Igloos (Hampshire Igloos) provide an outdoor dining experience all year round. Chef and owner, Dave Watts, also recently acquired The Charcuterie at Parsonage Farm, where he creates cured meats sold online and served as platters in the pub.
